This week, kiddo and I review the European treat: the Delicious Caramel Bites.
Trader Joe's describes these mini stroopwafels as "mini-wafers filled with caramel". They cost $2.79 for a 7.05 oz package... about 25 servings a package (they recommend 1 wafer as a serving size... how about 1 PACKAGE?!?).
My Take: OK...you know I'm normally a chocolate girl, but I could have eaten the contents of this bag in one sitting. These chewy waffle cookies are the perfect size for a little treat (provided you can stop at just a few), and definitely something I would buy again. And, here's my thought: they need to be mixed into ice cream. Pronto.

Kiddo's Take: The sweetness of this dessert is almost unnoticeable to the first-time Bite-Eater. Once it has spent some time in your mouth, you can taste the pastry-like sweetness of the wafers while enjoying the caramel which is sandwiched between them. The thin and chewy texture adds to this interesting European confection.

Trader Joe's Caramel Bites: Delicious! Definitely add them to your list!
