Trader Joe's Chocolate Almond Horns. I spied the box and there was no question; THIS is what we would be reviewing this week.
Described as "soft almond cookies dipped in dark chocolate," this 9-ounce box of cookies costs $4.49. There were 5 crescent-shaped cookies in our box.
A mom's (my) take: Oh. My. Gosh. This lover of almond and chocolate has met her true love. The almond-laden cookies are chewy...similar to a macaron...and fairly thick. Made with almond flour and sliced almonds, these cookies are an almond-lover's dream. They're generously dipped in dark chocolate, making these almond crescents even more irresistible. I'm almost sorry that I know these exist. If you're a fan of almond like I am, you're going to go ga-ga over these.

A teenager's (kiddo's) take: These, in my opinion, are a differently shaped, chewy, and much more delicious version of a biscotti. The chewiness of the cookie itself is actually a delight to eat, and a powerful, classic almond flavor is complemented by a rich chocolate coating. I just ate, but I'm sure it's well worth stuffing myself just to have another one of these.
