These rolled cookies come in a 5-ounce package and cost $1.99.
A mom's (my) take: Upon opening the lid and foil liner, the scent of a coffee shop wafts right out. It's as if the cookies are begging you to make a cappuccino. The wafers themselves are crisp and light...the wafer shatters a bit with each bite. The filling looks like rich chocolate, but what I really get from this is coffee flavor. I could see myself mindlessly eating many of these, but I'd still like more filling and more chocolate to balance out that coffee.

A teenager's (Jack's) take: For me, just too much coffee flavor! Of course, I may be a bit biased just because I'm not a coffee person, but still... I think you might only like this if you're OK with being inundated with a fairly strong coffee flavor. Other than that, though, I couldn't complain--the consistency is perfect, just what you would expect from "batons" like these, and the chocolate is to die for. So, not my cup of tea (no pun intended), but it could very well be yours.

Trader Joe's Coffee Cocoa Batons: Not our, as Jack says, cup of tea.
