(You might notice a rip in the label. That's because someone who shall remain nameless *coughMrEcough* opened the package pre-photo taking. Doesn't he know better by now?!?)
These are not the gooey-centered, cherry-filled chocolates from yesteryear (thank goodness!); these are dried cherries. A 12-ounce box costs $4.99.
A mom's (my) take: "I knew Chocolate Coconut Almonds, and you, sir, are no Chocolate Coconut Almonds." Don't get me wrong, I like that these are big with lots of chocolate. I like the dried cherry center, but these don't have the oh-I-can't-stop-eating-these that the coconut almonds do. The flavor didn't wow me here...instead, I'd probably get my chocolate/cherry fix by mixing dried cherries and chocolate chips in a bowl.

A teenager's (Jack's) take: For me not being an enormous fan of cherries or dark chocolate, these are pretty good. The dark chocolate coating is just a tad bit hard, and you have to chew through it a bit before you can really enjoy the cherry. I will say, however, the cherry's flavor really comes out strong and is preserved well! I may not eat the whole box of these, but definitely quite a few.

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries: We'll finish them off, but probably not buy again.
