I purposely keep Joe Joe's out of my house. I don't crave them, or cookies like them, but I know if I eat one, there's no turning back. So, I've been passing by these Mocha Joe Joe's every week knowing the potential danger that lurked inside. ;)
Jack isn't a big fan of coffee flavors, so that always makes me a little hesitant to buy mocha or coffee desserts. I'm wondering if that will change when he heads off to college? He loved the Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches, so who knows?!? I'm curious to read his review!
A 10.5-ounce box, about 20 cookies, costs $2.99.
A mom's (my) take: Open the package and you're immediately hit with a strong scent of coffee. The cookies are crunchy and chocolatey. The cream is softer than what you'll find in the "big name" sandwich cookie...it squishes out of the sides when you take a bite. Not a bad thing, the softer texture is nice. Filled with ground coffee beans, the cream packs a big coffee punch. If you're debating between an afternoon coffee or a cookie break, have one of these...or a few!
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars
A teenager's (Jack's) take: Not being a coffee connosieur, I can't really describe the flavors in too much detail...but I do like these! The flavor is obvious and pretty strong, while still leaving room for the chocolate to be noticed. I may not eat the whole box, but maybe half of it! :)
Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars
