Need cupcakes to bring to a fall party or a special celebration? I have them for you: Pumpkin Patch Cupcakes.
They are every bit as delicious as they are cute. Let me describe them: a fall-spiced, pumpkin cupcake that is topped with vanilla buttercream, crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, and the absolute cutest ever marzipan pumpkins.

Seriously, if you hear of a job opening for a marzipan pumpkin maker, please let me know. I could do this ALL DAY LONG. Making them is strangely therapeutic, almost massage-equivalent.
You'll make the pumpkins and stems from marzipan first.
Next up are the cupcakes. It's an easy recipe and oh, such a yummy one. If you love "fall" spices, these are the cupcakes for you. They pack a pumpkin spice punch! After that, you'll whip up a bowl of American buttercream. Reserve part of it to tint green. Use the rest to frost the cupcakes.
Crush Oreos. (Try not to eat the remaining cookies in the package.)
Press the crushed cookies onto the frosted cupcakes.
Each cupcake is topped with a darling little pumpkin. Now, it's time to add the vines and leaves.
If the cupcakes can be displayed together, it's fun to add the vine going from cupcake to cupcake. Place the cupcakes on a platter, close together. Sprinkle extra crushed cookies all around. Use a plain icing tip to pipe the vines. Using a leaf tip, add leaves to the pumpkins.
You can also skip the vine altogether and just add leaves.

I'm sharing the recipe for the cupcakes over at Imperial Sugar today!
