(Pssst....Mr. E, you have 10 months to prepare.)
Chocolate babka might just be the dreamiest thing I've ever baked. It's a combination of two of my favorite food groups: bread and chocolate.
The only babka I've ever eaten was from Trader Joe's. And y'all....it was good. But this? THIS is a revelation.
Babka is soft and pillowy on the inside. The sweet, buttery dough is spread with chocolate and sprinkled with chopped chocolate. Once the loaves are baked, they're covered in syrup. Um, yeah. I told you...dreamy.
The recipe makes two loaves; one for sharing (if you're feeling generous). They're the perfect special treat to give for the holidays, and worth every stinking calorie consumed.
I'm sharing the recipe over on The Pioneer Woman Food & Friends today. Seriously, go get it!
