I'm not sure how many times I've walked past this unassuming little box of chocolate-covered almonds assuming they were just that - chocolate-covered almonds.
For some reason, the small print caught my eye a couple of weeks ago. These are dark chocolate almonds WITH sea salt and turbinado sugar. A 10-ounce package costs $4.79.
Let's review them...
She said: Well, oh my goodness! These just made it into my top 5 Trader Joe's desserts. WOW. I love a chocolate covered almond, and the addition of sea salt and a bit of turbinado sugar just amplifies their deliciousness. The only bad thing about them is...it's REALLY challenging to not dip back into the container over and over again. I resorted to this with our second box:

He said: These delicious morsels are not only "drenched in dark chocolate" but drenched with flavor. Well balanced and not too much added salt or sugar in the coating. The almonds seem to have a softer crunch than normal, which I like a LOT! I am ending the review to have more. Nuts are health food, right?
