Clearly, I've entered into my butterscotch period. I saw this chocolate bar on an endcap at TJ's and scooped it right up.
Today's review is of Trader Joe's Milk and Dark Chocolate Butterscotch Bits Bar. Not the shortest candy bar name in the world. This 3-ounce bar (serves 3) costs $1.79. It's also made in England. Pip pip! Cheerio!
She said: I'm a fan of chocolate and butterscotch. 7-layer cookies are my jam. (Do people still say "my jam?") The butterscotch does not come through in this bar, though. There's a crunch, but no butterscotch flavor. As for the milk and dark chocolate...I think this would be better with one or the other. As it is, this is a good chocolate bar, but not what I was expecting from the name.

He says (Jack): Personally, this was no more than a chocolate bar. Although I could tell there were "bits" of something in it, they did not have a distinct taste. Even knowing it was butterscotch and trying to taste it, I couldn't find it. That being said, the chocolate part was great, and I love the look of the clearly separated milk and dark chocolate. All in all, though, not very special...
