We're almost at the end. Here we are on day 11 of the 12 days of Trader Joe's Christmas reviews.
For day 11, we're reviewing Trader Joe's Soft Honey Nougat with Almonds. A 4.2-ounce box costs $3.49. Approximately 8 individually wrapped pieces are inside.
She says: I don't think I've had nougat candy outside of a candy bar. I loved the simple and short ingredient list, the chewy texture, and the crunch from the almonds. I was a little confused by the wafer paper coating and tried to peel it off at first. I then saw that it was on the ingredient list. It's not noticeable taste-wise...I've used it for cookie decorating...maybe a heads-up in the description would be a good idea.

He says (Jack): I've never really had nougat before, and this was a great introduction! The powered wafer layers on the outside make the whole thing seem a little bit like a sandwich. Even though the honey flavor isn't meant to be super strong, it is very easy to tell what it is--these are packed with flavor! The almonds give some more variety in the consistency department.

Trader Joe's Soft Honey Nougat: We liked them! (Don't try to peel off the wafer paper, though.)
[note: We have no affiliation with Trader Joe's. I'm sure they have never read this blog and have no idea who we are. Hey, we like being incognito, although we never wear sunglasses indoors. ;)]
