Sweet on Trader Joe's Sunday: Ginger Snowball Cookies

We're not ones to toot our own horns, but Mr. E and I did a public service at Trader Joe's yesterday. We were in line, I'd say minding our own business, but you'll see in a minute that that's not true. The people in the line next to us were looking at the display of Kringles. They asked an employee, "what are these?" I didn't give the employee a beat to answer before I blurted out, "YOU NEED ONE." Mr. E and I waxed poetic about all things Kringle. They put one in their cart, and we rested easy knowing we had done some good in this crazy world.

Anyhoo. Our review today is of Trader Joe's Ginger Snowball Cookies. I don't recall seeing this product before, so I think it's brand new for the holidays. Price? Um, I tossed the receipt, but I'm going to guess $2.69-ish.

The description on the box reads, "buttery cookies studded with ginger and rolled in powdered sugar."

He (Mr. E) says: Perfect size. Just the right amount of ginger, which lingers a bit like a fine wine. The texture is ever-so-slightly off for me and is the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars. But, these pack the flavors as advertised on the box.

She says: Little, crunchy, gingery nuggets. While I wouldn't eat handfuls of these straight out of the box like I would with, let's say the Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars, they are just perfect with a cup of tea.
