This week, we review Trader Joe's Brazilian Style Cheese Bread. I've made Brazilian cheese bread and have been purchasing a frozen version from my regular grocery store lately, so I was happy to spy this at TJ's. I believe it's a fairly new item.
UPDATE: Check out our sister site, Sweet on Trader Joe's, dedicated to all things Trader Joe's!
To clarify: We have no affiliation with Trader Joe's. I feel sure they have never read this blog and have no idea who we are. Hey, we like being incognito! These reviews are just for us - and for YOU, our fellow Trader Joe's lovers!
If you're a bread lover like me, you might also want to check our review of Trader Joe's Buttermilk Bread, or this one of their Irish Soda Bread.
You'll find Trader Joe's Brazilian Style Cheese Bread in the freezer section. They're gluten-free. A box costs $3.99 and contains 12 rolls. The instructions say to bake for 6-8 minutes. One note to start, I found they need more like 10-12 minutes.
Trader Joe's Brazilian Style Cheese Bread review
She says: If I hadn't made these before or tried a version sold at my regular grocery store, I might have given these higher marks. They're good but not as good as they could be. The outside does have that thin, slight crisp layer, but the inside is a bit too heavy. I was expecting the bread to be light, airy, and cheesy - instead, I found it a bit dry and dense. That said, these are an easy gluten-free bread to have on hand for dinner, so if you're searching for something like that, maybe give them a try.
Overall rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
He (Mr. E) says: I don’t always eat Brazilian cheesy bread, but when I do, I choose TJ’s. These are soooo good - you can’t eat just one (not that I tried). If you like soft bread and cheese, you won’t be disappointed. Trader Joe's makes it easy being cheesy.
