Five Favorite January Recipes
Maybe we've had our fill of sweets over the holidays and are looking for a hit of savory. These golden, cheesy, crunchy, homemade Southern cheese crackers with just the right about of spice are the perfect antidote to an overdose of peppermint bark.
This is a newer recipe, and it's taken the blog (and my hips) by storm. All of that cinnamon roll flavor in a tender, flaky biscuit breakfast cake. This makes a great birthday breakfast!
I'll be honest, this Carrot Bundt Cake with Salted Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting recipe lands on the "popular" list just about every month. And with good reason. One of Mark's co-workers said this about it. "That is the MOST UNBELIEVABLY SCRUMPTIOUS carrot cake I've had in my life!!!!! I'm not kidding!!! That HAS to be award-winning."
So, maybe we're not finished with cakes and booze after all?!? This cake based off of a Pioneer Woman recipe is beyond delicious. Like, crazy good. I replaced the rum with Kahlua, and I haven't looked back since. Boozy pudding cake, I love you.
I think after all of the cookie decorating, gingerbread house building, and fancy dessert making, we yearn for something simple. Simple but DIVINE. Here's what you need to know about these brownies: While they're a breeze to make, they are fudgy, rich, and close-your-eyes-and-swoon brownies.
Those brownies are calling my name, y'all. Happy January.
