Turkey and Swiss Tartine with Cranberry Relish
YIELD: 1 sandwich*
PREP TIME: 5 minutes
BAKE TIME: 2 minutes
1 slice sourdough bread
spreadable butter, such as Kerrygold
4-6 thin-sliced smoked deli turkey or leftover smoked turkey
1 slice Swiss cheese
pinch salt
pinch freshly ground pepper
1-2 scoops fresh cranberry relish
*increase amounts as needed for more sandwiches and broil all at once
Move oven rack to the top position. Preheat broiler.
Toast sourdough to golden. Spread with a thin layer of spreadable butter and place on a parchment or foil-lined cookie sheet.
Top buttered sourdough with turkey, then Swiss cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Boil for 1-2 minutes, turning halfway through and keeping an eye on parchment paper if using.
Once cheese is melted and turning golden or brown, remove from oven. Scoop cranberry relish over top. Cut into strips for easy eating.
