Do not run screaming from this post!!! Turmeric cake. I know, it sounds a little...different.
You guys, I'm not kidding. This cake is my new favorite. So bright, so fresh, so zingy, so...yellow!
THERE IS NO FOOD COLORING IN THIS CAKE. Zero. Zip. Nada.
I don't know about you, but I keep reading about all of these amazing health benefits of turmeric. I've been adding it to spice rubs, chili, soups, etc. I drink a turmeric tea and juice. Trader Joe's has a delicious turmeric and almond butter salad dressing. You know I had to try it in something sweet, right?
I mean, LOOK at that batter! Sunshine cake!
