Homemade Angel Food Cake 101
If you've ever thought angel food cake was boring, or dry, or gummy, or...just a vehicle for whipped cream and strawberries...I'm here to change your mind. THIS homemade angel food cake is sublime. Light, fluffy, and ethereal. It is the stuff of angels.

Did you know that angel food cake is cooled upside down? In the pan? (Here's the pan I use. There's a funny story to cooling it in this pan. College boy to the rescue! More on that later.)
The stars of angel food cake are egg whites. Twelve of them to be exact. They're what makes the cake so light and fluffy.
