12 Days of Trader Joe's Christmas, Day 8: Chocolate Covered Pretzel Twist Assortment


\We're back from a short little pre-Christmas celebration with my sister's family, all of the cousins, and my dad. Short, sweet, and lots of "Jack! Jack! Jack!" (They love their older cousin.) :) Hopefully, you read yesterday's review with our guest reviewers, Mac and Rosie. ♥


Now, we're settled back at home...I'm choosing to ignore the laundry that we brought home with us (maybe Santa will do it?)...and we're tearing into more Trader Joe's treats. This one is the Chocolate Covered Pretzel Twist Assortment. 


The box of pretzels costs $6.99. You'll find 12 pretzels in the box, 4 of each flavor: dark chocolate peppermint, dark chocolate with almonds, and milk chocolate with sprinkles. 


She says: At first, I thought this might be a little pricey for 12 pretzels, but I've changed my tune. The box is a nice one...sturdy and worthy of gift-giving. The pretzels (they're big, 3.5" across) are packed nicely in two sealed layers. As far as the taste goes, I think these are spot on. The right amount of chocolate, the right amount of sweet, the right amount of pretzel, the right amount of salt. As Goldilocks would say, they're just right. Pick some up if you're running by TJ's today...to give or keep for yourself.

He says (Jack): These were pretty good, but not overwhelmingly so. I only tried the milk chocolate flavor, but I bet my experience with that could probably generalize to the other two flavors. The chocolate and decoration were great, that's definitely not where my problem with them was--I feel like the pretzel could've made a bit more of a statement by being crunchier, saltier, etc. It wasn't soft, but I really couldn't tell there was a pretzel holding everything together because of the powerful flavors from the coating. I might have not been able to tell that a pretzel was involved in a blind taste test. But don't get me wrong, they're tasty!
